What we collect when you use gothenburgexpats.com, why, and your rights under the GDPR.

Services we use
- Netlify (Netlify, Inc., USA) hosts the site and stores form submissions. Like any web host it processes IP addresses in server logs to deliver pages and stop abuse. Transfers outside the EU/EEA rely on the safeguards in Netlify's data processing terms, such as the EU Standard Contractual Clauses.
- Ahrefs Web Analytics gives us visitor statistics (pages viewed, referring site, country, device type). It works without cookies and we only see aggregated figures.
- Stripe processes card payments for featured listings. We never see your full card details.
- Fonts are hosted on our own server, so no data is sent to font providers.
Cookies and local storage
We don't use advertising or tracking cookies. Some tools, such as the move-in roadmap, save your progress in your own browser's local storage. That data stays on your device; you can clear it in your browser settings at any time. Calculators run in your browser: the numbers you type are not sent to us unless you submit a form.
Links to other websites
Directory links to businesses may include UTM tags (for example utm_source=gothenburgexpats.com) so the business can see that a visit came from us. These tags contain no personal data. Other sites have their own privacy policies.
Your rights
You can ask for access to your data, correction, deletion, restriction or a copy in a portable format, and you can object to processing based on legitimate interest. Email miguel@fractio.se; we reply within one month. If you are unhappy with how we handle your data, you can complain to the Swedish Authority for Privacy Protection (Integritetsskyddsmyndigheten, IMY): imy.se.
